I came up with something that may give us an edge. I had 3 computers running it last night with pretty good results (we were in 3rd place with over 500 this morning). Presently, I've got one computer working on the US,
and one on Australia. I'll put the 3rd computer on Africa after I send this.
I set up a script with a free program that will click on the map, wait a little while, move over one pixel, and click again. Since it seems to work pretty good, I figured I'd share it with everyone.
Go to http://www.webattack.com/get/autoit.shtml and download AutoIt.
Install it:
Go to http://www.weirdscienceprojects.com/Down/world.aut to get the script file. Put it someplace convenient.
Use the AutoIt reveal mode to help you pick out an area of the map that you want to work on (I defaulted it to basically the whole world). You just edit the script in NotePad. You can also change the amount of time the script waits for the Risk server to process the hit info (default at 60 sec).
Have your browser window active on http://www.3si.org/world.htm and start the script (the browser window MUST be the active window for it to work - to account for various browsers). The script will click it's little heart out for us.
If you can improve it, feel free. It's pretty quick and dirty.
